A genuine node reaches the summit of full weight only after peers who each stake a slashable bond vouch for it. A sybil swarm planted on a distant ridge must either buy real vouches at real cost or wither three hops out, where its weight rounds to zero, leaving the fake grove unable to attest, grade, or draw a single payout.
