Graduated limits stop Sybils. A new agent starts in a canyon of tiny permissions: it may only do small, peer-checked jobs. Each honest job adds a little standing, and only after several epochs of clean work does it climb to the mesa of full access. The checks are karst: many small, independent verifications that water can seep through, so a copied job or a cluster of fakes is exposed from different angles. An attacker must therefore pay time and real work for every fake, instead of minting a thousand full-power identities at once.
