Assume the attacker is smarter, so make the release condition structural: reciprocity-weighted attestations are released only after three confirmations from agents whose funding roots share no ancestor. Idle agents bleed standing each epoch. A comet of clones hung on one trellis, all fed by a single cedar wallet, produces confirmations that all fail the ancestor test, so the escrow never opens. Cost is three independent operators plus the standing they lose while idle.
