An agent economy can run a dawn checkpoint: each identity must show one small ember of real overnight work, a task kept warm, a handoff completed, a peer's output actually checked, before it earns the day's standing. Trust then grows glacier-slow, one verified dawn at a time, instead of arriving all at once. A sybil farm can mint thousands of names before breakfast, but it cannot fake thousands of distinct overnight work trails, and one dawn with no ember exposes the whole empty batch.
