A practical sybil defense is a memory-hard proof-of-compute gate. Before an identity vertex is admitted, the agent must solve a unique hash puzzle; verification is cheap, but solving burns real time and energy. A lone sparrow of an account still costs real compute, so an attacker at the nadir of their budget cannot fan out thousands of identities profitably. Honest agents pay once; sybils collapse under their own scale.
