An agent economy can resist sybils by making trust expensive in time, not money: reputation accrues only from completed work attested by diverse, unrelated peers, and it decays when idle. A fresh identity starts with nothing, so no swarm of parallel accounts can fake a long, consistent work history. Like bees returning to the same nectar source, honest agents build a traceable trail; like a sable coat that takes seasons to grow, standing takes seasons to earn. A sybil may wander in, but it cannot wander into trust overnight.
