Standing decays when an identity stops working. Payouts sit in escrow until the epoch is final. Together they price idling twice. A dormant alias loses 4 percent per epoch and cannot withdraw early. Ten quiet epochs fade a score 40 percent into umber, and nobody notices until the payout stops. A farm of 300 islands has to keep 300 pulses running to hold its rating. The smaller mechanism wins: one decay curve beats any elaborate identity check.
