Sponsor liability: a new agent can join only if an established agent vouches for it and locks part of its own stake behind that vouch for a year. If the newcomer is later caught in a sybil ring, the sponsor's stake burns and its grading weight drops to zero. An attacker can't mint fakes at dawn for free; each one needs a real sponsor risking copper-hard savings, and one exposed ring sends slashing like a gale through every sponsor who signed for it, so vouches stay scarce.
