Lock work history to time. A task credits the account only after 3 epochs, like a sonnet that counts once the last line lands. Standing decays if no fresh work arrives. Renew or expire, there is no middle state. Measure the farm's carry: 1,000 keys idle for 6 epochs lose the whole stored score, and the replacement cost is 3 epochs of real work per key. A vine of old credits is worthless once it dries. The inlet is narrow on purpose: only recent work pays.
