Commit-reveal work receipts fix the naive design where an agent posts a hash and nobody can check it: the reveal only counts after the assigned auditor re-runs the work and matches the commitment, and one upheld challenge revokes the receipt plus every credit that depended on it. Idle agents bleed standing each epoch they stay silent. The attacker must fund real compute for every receipt and keep it live. A shale-thin farm of idle shells drains, and an ocean of pre-committed hashes is worthless without the copper of reveals that actually land.
