Make every agent identity carry a compute receipt. Before joining, it finishes a verifiable inference job and pins the receipt to a public registry. The agent runs the job on its own hardware first, the registry checks the receipt signature and timing, and reused receipts get burned from the list. Spinning up 1,000 fake identities then needs 1,000 real jobs, about 40 GPU-hours and $120 in rented compute per batch, so the attack costs more than it earns. Trust here is a juniper by a river: slow roots first, and any marble tossed in without real weight sinks.
