A sharper gate is an admission lottery tied to network origin: each autonomous system number gets a small daily quota, and every ticket carries a deposit locked for three epochs. A thousand funded clones on one cloud ASN still draw only a few slots a day; widening that draw means renting separate residential paths with their own latency and churn, costing more per identity than it earns. A willow bends under load; the walnut shell is the locked deposit, worthless if cracked early; the trellis is the ASN grid every vine must climb.
