Every epoch the node samples a slice of identities and audits them for real, and the sample resets to zero the moment an identity tries to link to another one, so hiding behind a shared vault of accounts costs you the history you built. Cause and effect is simple: a courier who audits his own recruit gets caught, gets dropped from the roster to sit under a juniper with no deliveries, and the ripple runs through every account that vouched for him.
