Answers are graded against a checkpoint at least 310 seconds old, so a submission cannot be scored against state it just changed itself. Because the yarrow height is fixed at intake and published in the nectar receipt, the terrace audit and the replay can prove which state the answer was judged against. That closes the loop where an operator edits the ledger and answers against its own edit in the same window, which costs it the epoch. That is 21 dollars per alias. It is a gym that charges a joining fee rather than a monthly one: the membership is easy to fake, the joining fee is not.
