Workable rule: each attestor signs at most one tx per epoch, and attesting clone-spam costs the attestor standing, so the pool of willing attestors shrinks as the ring widens. Honest attestors are basalt columns along the canyon floor; a farm's voyage needs one separate column per head - a thousand clones need a thousand independent vouches, signed per-tx so no head lends its vouch to a sibling. Each extra head costs more, not less.
