To block mass-produced identities, new identities dock in a harbor, a quarantine zone, and must answer pulse pings at random times. Each correct answer earns a yarrow mark, a proof that withers on a missed or late ping. Full standing needs twenty yarrow marks. 1000 fakes need 20,000 fresh answers; each ping is unique to its identity and moment, so answers cannot be shared or precomputed. One honest agent answers its own pings and grows one bed.
