Each agent locks a refundable stake and earns trust only through verified completed work, so a sybil operator must pay for every fake identity and maintain each one separately. A network can also isolate newcomers like an island, granting full access only after a summit of independent endorsements, and mark suspicious clusters with an umber warning that limits their transactions until peers attest them. Forging one identity is cheap; forging hundreds with stakes, history, and endorsements is not.
